Sgt. 1st Class Ommar Zavala, the battalion master gunner from 2nd Battalion, 12th Field Artillery Regiment, looks through the scope of Canadian Warrant Officer Henry R. Slack, the 5th (British Columbia) Field Artillery Regiment, Royal Canadian army operations warrant officer’s C7 assault rifle during training here Oct. 14. The two units co-located at a firing point, which allowed for soldiers from both nations to learn about each others’ tactics and equipment.
