German air force Major Rico Persy, 14th Airlift Squadron German exchange pilot, performs preflight checks before the performance at the Great New England Air Show in Westover, Mass., July 14-15. Air show season is well underway and Westover Air Reserve Base took the opportunity to showcase to the public how they defend the nation as well as to give an inside look of base operations, personnel and its mission.
