Looking out the cabin door of a Pennsylvania National Guard CH-47F Chinook helicopter, Sergeant Robert Prigel of the Eastern Army Aviation Training Site, and Darrin Kephart, Rescue Technician with the PA-Helicopter Aquatic Rescue Team overlook the Waccamaw River. The Pennsylvania National Guard are performing a local aerial orientation and reconnaissance flight ahead of possible search and rescue missions in the Myrtle Beach, South Carolina area. Pennsylvania sent 28 guardsmen to the state of South Carolina ahead of Hurricane Florence. They've been in the area since Thursday and have been performing aerial support for the last week.
