U.S. Northern Command commander, Gen. Terrence O’Shaughnessy, checks in with the USACE temporary emergency power team, which is supporting FEMA with Hurricane Florence recovery operations. The team’s action officer, Norrice “Nori” King from the Corps’ Pittsburgh District provided O’Shaughnessy with an update on their efforts to provide temporary power in areas across the state hit hardest by the storm.
To date, the Corps, working with our local, state, and federal partners, have installed 7 temporary power generators in hospitals, shelters, pump stations and water treatment plants across North Carolina. (Photos by Rick Brown, US Army Corps of Engineers/Released)
