The 648th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade's command team, Command Sgt. Maj. John Smiley and Col. Andy Hall, along with Lt. Col. Michael Husley and other command staff members serve dinner to HHC Soldiers during the unit’s Morale, Welfare and Recreation Day here. 648th Soldiers enjoyed an afternoon of football, dancing, cards and other activities by Kingsley Lake, located on the Joint Training Center.
648th is currently busy conducting predeployment training and evaluations here and the afternoon provided a break for the hard charging soldiers to rest, bond, and enjoy themselves.
“The commander felt that it was important for the soldiers some quality downtime while we’re here,” said 1st Lt. Samantha Frazier, who organized the event. “I know the soldiers had a good time and I think these types of events bring us closer as a team.”
