West Salem, Ohio, native Pfc. Nicholas Workman of Bravo Company 1-148 Infantry Regiment, 37th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Ohio National Guard, provides overwatch for his battalion’s Forward Operating Base’s entry point with his 240B crew-served machine gun at the Camp Shelby Joint Forces Training Center, Miss., Oct. 21, 2011, during a post-deployment training exercise. Workman, along with more than 3,000 other soldiers from the brigade, are preparing for their scheduled deployment to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
