On Thursday, September 13th, the 148th Fighter Wing, partnered with the 185th Air Refueling Wing, and the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve to host the 2018 ‘Spouse Lift’. The event provides guard members in the unit an opportunity to invite their significant others who have supported them through deployments for a chance to better understand ‘what they do.’ Here, a spouse of a pilot was able to participate in the extraordinary opportunity to see her husband conduct in-air refueling during the event.
The day involved a base tour, informational briefs, and the highlight of the day had a K-135 Stratotanker from the Iowa Air National Guard 185th Air Refueling in Sioux City, Iowa.
