JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD, Washington – Leaders of 2nd Battalion, 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne) stand alongside the family of the late Sgt. Maj. Walter Hetzler on September 21, during the playing of ‘The Ballad of the Green Berets’ at a dedication ceremony. The 2nd battalion family honored Hetzler, a former B Company sergeant major, by dedicating a section of B Company as Hetzler Hall for his legacy of leadership in 1st Group during his 31 year career.
