SOUTH CHINA SEA (Sept. 25, 2018) - A Sailor properly turns over an M9 pistol by ensuring it is "clear" and "safe" during dry fire training as part of sustaining an M9 squalification aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1). Wasp, flagship of the Wasp Amphibious Ready Group, with embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is operating in the Indo-Pacific region to enhance interoperability with partners and serve as a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
