DAHLGREN, Va. (Sept. 27, 2018) - A Navy government civilian parent prepares to launch a rocket with his daughter at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) Centennial Rocket Competition. The NSWCDD Centennial Rocket Contest began with a discussion on the significance of the command's centennial and how the rocket launch ties in with the history of Dahlgren. Parents and children calculated trajectories and evaluated the gravitational pull while taking the weather into account and ensuring all conditions were a go for launch.
