Members of the Alaska National Guard were among the nearly 100 guests and faculty members who attended a ceremony inside Signers’ Hall on the University of Alaska-Fairbanks campus, Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018. The ceremony officially designated UAF as Alaska’s only Purple Heart campus, with members of the Military Order of the Purple Heart presenting Dan White, chancellor for the University of Alaska-Fairbanks, with the official proclamation.
