An F-16 Fighting Falcon assigned to the 18th Aggressor Squadron, Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska, takes flight during Red Flag-Alaska (RF-A)19-1, Oct. 8, 2018. The F-16 Fighting Falcon is a multi-role fighter aircraft that can and can locate targets in all weather conditions and its exterior paint scheme is designed to blend in with its surroundings in arctic locations. Red Flag is a series of U.S. Pacific Air Force commander-directed field training exercise for U.S. and coalition forces to provide a realistic joint offensive counter-air, interdiction, close air support and large-force employment training in a simulated combat environment.
