Two hundred fifty soldiers and civilians from six nations participate in the traditional Danish Contingency (DANCON) March of 23 kilometers on Al Asad Air Base (AAAB), Iraq, Oct. 5, 2018. Since 1972, the DANCON March has been conducted wherever Danish soldiers are deployed. AAAB is a Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve enhanced partner capacity location dedicated to training partner forces and enhancing their effectiveness.
