Two Air Force C-130J Super Hercules aircraft out of Yokota Air Base, Japan, and Little Rock Air Force Base, Ark., respectively, taxi down the runway while transporting Army paratroopers from the 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division, U.S. Army Alaska, during exercise Arctic Anvil 19-01 at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, Oct. 9, 2018. Arctic Anvil 19-01 is a joint, multi-national, force-on-force training exercise designed to provide the 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team a tough, realistic training event that validates their ability to fight and win as a combined arms team in preparation for their rotation at the Army’s National Training Center in California early next year. Over 400 Spartan paratroopers were transported by multiple Air Force C-130J Super Hercules aircraft out of Little Rock Air Force Base, Ark., and Yokota Air Base, Japan, in addition to multiple C-17 Globemaster III’s from JBER and Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii.
