PHILIPPINE SEA (Oct. 11, 2018) - Marines, assigned to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), suspend from an MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter, assigned to the "Island Knights" of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 25 during a special patrol insertion/extraction (SPIE) exercise aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1). Wasp, flagship of Wasp Amphibious Ready Group, with embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is operating in the Indo-Pacific region to enhance interoperability with partners and serve as a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
