Diebold, commodore of Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 40, right, and Lisandro Rosales, the minister national commissioner of Comite Permanente de Contingencias (COPECO) and Sistema Nacional de Emergencias (SNE), hold a Southern Partnership Station (SPS) appreciation photo at SNE during SPS 2018. COPECO is an organization supporting the Honduran National Risk Management System and focuses on areas such as humanitarian assistance and disaster relief. SNE is created to coordinate the response with immediate actions to the calls that are generated to the number nine one one (911). Southern Partnership Station is a U.S. Southern Command-sponsored and U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command/U.S. 4th Fleet-conducted annual deployment focused on subject matter expert exchanges and building partner capacity in a variety of disciplines including medicine, construction, and dive operations in the Caribbean, Central and South America.
