The first emergency generator in USACE’s Emergency Power Mission in Florida was installed on Saturday at Jackson County Fire and Rescue. Adam Miller from the Tulsa District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Power Planning and Response Team visited today to check on its operation. Speaking of the FEMA Federal Emergency Management Agency mission assignment, Miller said, “It gives you a good feeling in your heart to be able to restore power to something like a fire and rescue station, to know they can go on helping people who really need it.” (U.S. Army photo by Chris Gardner)
