Kaw Park Ranger Jim Anderson holds a handful of the Japanese Millet that is sown annually at Kaw Lake in north central Oklahoma to attract waterfowl. The lake level will be raised to flood into the millet during waterfowl hunting season allowing the birds to swim in the area and feed on the seeds.
