A little girl admires the Lifesaving Medal her father was just presented in a ceremony held in Lansing, Michigan. Sgt. Tyge Nelson was awarded the National Guard Lifesaving Medal for saving the life of a two-year old child earlier this year in northern Michigan. After rescuing the barefoot child from a ditch on a cold winter day, he worked with local authorities to return the child to his parents.
