ROTA, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (Oct. 26, 2018) Construction Mechanic 3rd Class Nathan Wittenburg, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 1, detachment Guam, from Livingston, Texas, removes a screw from a wooden rafter while reconstructing a roof for a home that was damaged during Typhoon Mangkhut. NMCB 1, detachment Guam, assigned to Commander, Task Force 75, is conducting Defense Support to Civil Authorities with the Commonwealth Advocates for Recovery Efforts, CNMI and the Federal Emergency Management Agency in rebuilding roofs for homes during disaster relief operations in Rota, Tinian and Saipan after Typhoon Mangkhut hit in early September.
