Soldiers and Airmen of the Nebraska and Texas National Guard carry the United States flag while representing the United States during the Czech Republic Military Parade, Oct. 28, in Prague, Czech Republic. The parade was part of a weekend celebration marking the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Czechoslovakia in 1918. Representing the United States during the parade were: Tech. Sgt. Darren Davlin (Nebraska), Senior Airman Avery Prai (Nebraska), Pfc. Alexa Nelson (Nebraska), Sgt. 1st Class Robb Miller (Texas), Staff Sgt. Eric Halliburton (Texas), and Sgt. Adrian Tejerina (Texas). For the six National Guard Soldiers and Airmen the event was doubly meaningful: this year also marks the 25th anniversary of the State Partnership Program between the Czech Republic and the Nebraska and Texas National Guard. The Czech-Nebraska-Texas State Partnership was established in July 1993 in part due to the two states’ significant Czech heritage. It continues to be the only State Partnership Program to pair two state National Guard organizations with a signal nation.
