Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune conducted a Flu Pandemic Exercise Oct. 25. The goal was to immunize 100 percent of the just over 1,1000 active-duty personnel during the exercise. Contractors and civilian personnel were also invited to participate in the exercise. Two points of distribution or pods were set up to administer the vaccinations, one is show here. These kinds of drills are essential to being ready to prepare our personnel for a potential pandemic events. As the first line of health care aboard Camp Lejeune, immunizing personnel in this manner ensures they are protected and ready to care for patients.
