A survival, evasion, resistance and escape specialist assigned to the 1st Special Operations Support Squadron, presents a memorial baton to Terry Chapman, mother of U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. John Chapman, after completing a military free fall during the U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. John Chapman Medal of Honor celebration at Hurlburt Field, Florida, Oct. 26, 2018. Special Tactics operators and SERE specialists performed a high-altitude, low-opening jump from an MC-130J Commando II with batons honoring Chapman for his heroic actions during the Battle of Takur Ghar in March 2002 while deployed to Afghanistan. Chapman was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor and promotion to master sergeant. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Rachel Yates)
