A U.S. Navy landing craft unit (LCU) enters the well deck of the amphibious dock landing ship USS Fort McHenry (LSD 43) as part of the Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 4 composite training unit exercise (COMPTUEX) in the Atlantic Ocean Nov. 1, 2018. COMPTUEX is the final pre-deployment exercise that certifies the combined Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit’s (MEU) abilities to conduct military operations at sea and project power ashore through joint planning and execution of challenging and realistic training scenarios. CSG 4 mentors, trains and assesses East Coast units preparing for future deployments. (U.S. Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist 3rd Class Chris Roys)
