Two bells are rung for each of the 65 U.S. Navy submarines lost at sea during a ceremony honoring U.S. Navy Submarine Veterans of World War II held at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, Ga. In addition to the more than 500 submarine veterans and family members in attendance, there were also 13 World War II veterans in the audience. The base is home to five of the Ohio-class ballistic-missile submarines that make up the most survivable leg of the nuclear missile triad.
