Marines present a birthday cake to Marines aboard Camp Leatherneck, Helmand province, Nov. 10, at the 236th Marine Corps birthday ceremony. It is tradition for the oldest Marine in attendance to receive the first piece of cake and for that piece to then be passed on to the youngest Marine. This symbolizes the passing of history and tradition throughout the Marine Corps.
