Cmdr. Nicholie Bufkin, commanding officer of USS Milius looks back from a WWII-era jeep as the U.S. Navy Color Guard from Naval Operational Support Center Port Hueneme marks time during a Veterans Day parade along State Street. The Arleigh Burke-class Aegis guided missile destroyer was invited to the coastal city to participate in a weekend filled with community events including hospital visits, Frisbee and basketball games, beach clean-ups and ship tours for the public.
