181027-N-UK333-028 KETCHIKAN, Alaska (October 27th, 2018) Sailors on Undersea Rescue Command’s (URC) Pressurized Rescue Module (PRM) look down into the transfer skirt sealed over the escape hatch of the Virginia-class fast-attack submarine USS Texas (SSN 775) prior to commencing dewatering in preparation to open Texas’s escape hatch. URC is conducting a submarine rescue exercise with Texas off the coast of Ketchikan, Alaska at the Southeast Alaska Acoustic Measurement Facility (SEAFAC) Static Site.
