Col. James G. Flynn, Marine Corps Air Station Futenma commanding officer, explained the air station's air operations to Japan Minister of Defense Yasuo Ichikawa in the air traffic control tower here Nov. 12. The purpose of the visit was to observe the current situation of the facilities through tours of the camps and to make courtesy calls to the acting Okinawa area coordinator and the base commander of MCAS Futenma.
