Senior Airman Jamel Seales, 379th Expeditionary Maintenance Squadron temperature/humidity and physical dimensional test equipment journeyman, calibrates an oscilloscope to discover signal wavelengths Nov. 15, 2011, at an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia. An oscilloscope allows for the observation of constantly varying signal voltages and the exact wave shape of an electrical signal. Seales works in the squadron’s Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory, where airmen service equipment from approximately 320 units in the area of responsibility, making sure that more than 15,000 pieces of test equipment are properly calibrated and in the hands of warfighters. Seales, a native of Los Angeles, is deployed from Edwards Air Force Base, Calif.
