U.S. Marine Corps Maj. Gen. David Furness, the commanding general of 2nd Marine Division (2dMarDiv) addresses 6th Marine Regiment, 2dMarDiv during an award ceremony for Regiment Week on Camp Lejeune, N.C., Nov. 9, 2018. Marines from the Regiment’s battalions competed from Nov. 6-8 in various sporting and physical training events to promote friendly competition and camaraderie within the Regiment’s battalions. 3rd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment was awarded the Catlin Cup for receiving the highest scores during the week’s competitions.
