The Hampton Roads Naval Museum held a ceremony aboard the fantail of the USS Wisconsin (BB 64) to mark the signing of the armistice that ended the First World War. Museum Director, John Pentangelo provided some opening remarks, followed by a reading of the poem “In Flanders Fields” by Education Director, Laura Orr. The ceremony, livestreamed on Facebook, concluded with bell ringing before an audience of US Marines from Marine Tiltrotor Squadron 744 (VMM-744). (US Navy Photo by Max Lonzanida/Released).
