Nearly 7,000 students, all of Hispanic heritage, attended the SHPE 2018 National Convention, which provided students an opportunity to network with the engineering community and show off their skills. The Extreme Engineering challenge is a grueling 24-hour timed event were the students are tested on their ability to sell themselves, develop a marketable product and work as a cohesive team.
