Panama City, FL, Nov. 2, 2018—Businesses down by the marina were heavily damaged by Hurricane Michael, one of the strongest storms to hit the U.S. mainland, with 155-mph winds and a strong storm surge. Originally built in 1936, the Martin Theatre was one of a chain of movie houses that covered Georgia, Alabama and NW Florida. Early visits by such notables as Clark Gable and Constance Bennett. The building suffered water damage and is being dehumidified. FEMA/K.C. Wilsey
