The crowd assembled at the NOAA Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary multipurpose building in Kihei celebrate Mitchell Lani, a Coast Guard veteran from Hawaii who served in the 1950s, during a ceremony in Maui, Nov. 12, 2018.
