On and off-duty Soldiers of the 34th Red Bull Infantry Division assist with flood response efforts on Camp Arifjan in Kuwait. Historic rainfall and flooding in Kuwait has tormented the region over the last week. As the desert ground struggles to absorb rainwater, storms persist. In the last 24 hours, Kuwait received more rainfall than the country experiences in a typical year. Roads, including dozens of major highways, and airport flightlines in Kuwait have closed, leaving many travelers stranded. Red Bull Soldiers, who are stationed at Camp Arifjan while deployed in support of Task Force Spartan, have been working around the clock to mitigate the water’s effects. Flash flooding throughout the camp has led to various difficulties, including standing water in living quarters, collapsed walking paths, and some facility closures.
