DNA cards collected from Air Force trainees at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, dry November 8, 2018, before being boxed and shipped to the Armed Forces Medical Examiner System. To date more than 7.8 million DNA blood reference cards have been accessioned into the AFMES-Armed Forces Repository of Specimen Samples of the Identification of Remains and approximately 225 thousand new DNA reference cards are collected and accessioned yearly.
