Command Sgt. Maj. Christopher Tipton, the senior enlisted leader for the 864th Engineer Battalion, cheers from the sidelines Nov. 18 during a football game on North Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., pitting some of the battalion's non-commissioned officers against a team of its officers. The battalion holds a similar game, always dubbed the Turkey Bowl, each year in the week before Thanksgiving to build camaraderie within the unit.
