Command Sgt. Maj. John Troxell, the command sergeant major of ISAF Joint Command and Joint Base Lewis-McChord-based I Corps, prepares to speak with U.S. troops based at Forward Operating Base Farah, Afghanistan, Nov. 24 during a Thanksgiving Day battlefield circulation. Troxell joined the commanding general of IJC and I Corps, Lt. Gen. Curtis Scaparrotti, in a full day of travel throughout western and northern Afghanistan in order to meet and greet U.S. service members deployed during the holidays.
