Thomas, 19, hails from Salt Lake City. Kouraimi, 23, is a Saginaw, Mich., native. The Marines serve with Combat Logistics Battalion 11, the logistics combat element for the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, which embarked USS Makin Island, USS New Orleans and USS Pearl Harbor in San Diego Nov. 14 beginning a seven-month deployment to the Western Pacific and Middle East regions.
