Museum Educators AJ Orlikoff and Alicia Pullen, meticulously counts and assemble Lego pieces associated with model kits in preparation for next year’s Annual Brick by Brick Lego Shipbuilding Event. The event is scheduled for Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 10am-4pm inside the Decker Half Moon Cruise Terminal; which is located at 1 Waterside Drive, Norfolk, Virginia 23510. The event is free of charge, and utilizes STEM based design plans which allow participants to build over 200+ models on-site. Participants can also enter their own LEGO models in the shipbuilding contest, enjoy a free play area suitable for all ages with LEGO and Duplo blocks, enjoy hands on robotics demonstrations, and enjoy a quiet sensory room. This free annual event attracts over a thousand visitors each year, and is one of the signature events hosted by the museum.
