Lieutenant General Daniel R. Hokanson, left, Vice Chief of the National Guard Bureau, views the ruins of Adventist Health Feather River Hospital in Paradise, California, with Capt. Brandon Harding, California National Guard 870th Military Police Company Commander, on November 16. Staff and residents of the hospital were forced to fall back onto the hospital parking lot when the Camp Fire blocked evacuation. They moved to the helipad as the structure caught fire and were escorted out by fire fighters when the fire slowed eight hours later.
