Col. Lisa Miller, chief nursing officer, William Beaumont Army Medical Center, recognizes Light the Way award nominees during the quarterly award presentation at WBAMC, Nov. 15. The Light the Way award recognizes nurses who demonstrate a high level of dedication to duty through their show of care and compassion toward patients and other staff members. The award is a homage to Florence Nightingale's use of a lantern to check on patients throughout the night, dubbing her "The Lady with the Lamp."
