Airmen of the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds aerial demonstration team watches as an F-16 Fighting Falcon prepares to take off on Aug. 16. The 177th Fighter Wing, New Jersey Air National Guard, was the home for the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds aerial demonstration team from Aug. 15-17. The 177th, along with the Thunderbirds, were part of the 2011 Atlantic City Air Show, “Thunder over the Boardwalk.” Also performing at the show were Army Golden Knights Parachute Team, the Air Force Heritage Flight along with other service and international aerial acts.
