Recruits from Company D attempt the rope swing during the confidence course Nov. 21 at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego. The confidence course is an integrated event designed to help recruits overcome their fears through a series of obstacles. "I had a hard time getting a hold of the rope and keeping enough momentum to make it across," said Recruit Sidney Schroeder, Platoon 1065, Company D, once he completed the obstacle after several attempts.
