Petty Officer 3rd Class Curtiss Baldwin, a machinery technician stationed on Coast Guard Cutter Hatchet, performs maintenance in the engine room aboard the vessel. From overhauling engines to cranes, generators to pumps, Baldwin pours his heart and soul into the rejuvenation, restoration and even just mundane maintenance required to keep the aging cutter fully operational and mission ready.
