U.S. Army Pacific held a ceremony honoring Gen. Apirat Kongsompong (left), Commander-in-chief of the Royal Thai Army, Nov. 30, at Historic Palm Circle on Fort Shafter, HI. Gen. Robert B. Brown (right), commanding general of USARPAC, officiated the ceremony. Gen. Apirat’s visit reinforces the strong Thailand and U.S. alliance through personal and professional relationships. Thailand is a key partner and an enduring ally; our broad cooperation continues on issues that benefit both our countries, the region, and beyond. Our relationship with the Kingdom of Thailand remains one of our most important in Southeast Asia.
