Machinist’s Mate 2nd Class Isabel Chavez, assigned to Navy Reserve Assault Craft Unit One (ACU-1), stands lookout aboard a Maritime Prepositioning Force Utility Boat in San Diego Harbor during a Coxswain Qualification practical Dec. 1. The exercises tested skills in both routine piloting as well as unplanned events, such as, man overboard, low visibility, and loss of steering.
