Kinderhook, N.Y. Village Mayor James Dunham presents a wreath at the gravesite of President Martin Van Buren, the 8th president of the United States, on Dec. 5, 2018. The placing of the wreath from the village was part of a ceremony at Kinderhook Reformed Church Cemetery in Kinderhook, N.Y. during which a wreath was placed by New York Army National Guard Brig. Gen. John Andonie. The U.S. military presents wreaths from the current occupant of the White House at the gravesites of former presidents on the anniversary of their birth.
