American and Okinawan children crowd around a control panel to push the buttons that will turn on the strands of light that make up the Christmas tree at Camp Courtney’s main gate Dec. 1 during the camp’s Christmas tree lighting ceremony. The tree consisted of strands of light flowing down the poles of the electrical tower at the camp’s main gate. Cooperation between the Okinawa Electric and Power Corporation Limited makes the tree possible.
